Less than 24 hours after Married At First Sight’s Matthew Bennett revealed he’d got a new girlfriend — his continual shocks appear to be taking their toll on his ex-wife Lauren Huntriss.
The 32-year-old has just revealed she’s lost 10kg, saying appearing on MAFS had caused her to drop the huge amount of weight.
In a before-and-after photo posted on her Instagram Stories, Lauren looks dramatically thinner.
“Wanna loose (sic) 10kgs?? Go on #mafs !!” she wrote, adding four laughing face emojis as well as a shocked emoji face.
While Lauren didn’t say her staggering weight loss is down to stress, there’s no denying the make-up artist has had a lot on her plate as a result of going on the Channel 9 show.
On Wednesday, she lashed out at producers, claiming she was given a “disgusting” edit on the show, which painted her as a “sex freak” and a “nympho”.
Lauren was married to 29-year-old videographer Matt, who famously lost his virginity to her during their honeymoon.
However, their relationship hit a rough patch last week when she revealed to him she “used to be a lesbian”, suggested she might be into “swinging” and “threesomes” and asked him to be more “dominant” in the bedroom — causing Matt to become severely overwhelmed.
After Matt admitted he wasn’t “attracted” to her, the pair split — leaving the show on Sunday during an explosive commitment ceremony.
As if that wasn’t enough to deal with, Matt then went public with new girlfriend Annabelle on national TV yesterday.
The shock news left Lauren “hurt” by the way she’d been treated, according to co-star Melissa Lucarelli, who spoke to Yahoo Lifestyle about Matt’s new partner.
This isn’t the first time Lauren’s undergone a transformation.
News.com.au recently unearthed images of the reality TV star before her stint on screen, and she looked unrecognisable with dark hair and make-up.
