Hilaria Baldwin’s went on social media to share that she was possibly going through a miscarriage. Her post received an outpouring of support, but one commenter thought that information should be kept “private.”
A critic responded to the mom of four and called her “annoying” for sharing the news.
“Nothing is private anymore…good god you’re annoying,” a social media user commented on Baldwin’s photo.
After asking the troll why she was on her page to begin with, Baldwin went on to say that she hoped they would grow some compassion.
“I would suggest that you go through and read even just a handful of comments from people who have experienced the same thing,” wrote Baldwin. “And maybe your heart and compassion will grow.”
Alec Baldwin’s wife had opened up about the changes her body was going through saying that she was “most likely experiencing a miscarriage.”
“I want to share with you that I am most likely experiencing a miscarriage,” Hilaria wrote in the caption. “I always promised myself that if I were to get pregnant again, I would share the news with you guys pretty early, even if that means suffering a public loss.”
She continued: “I have always been so open with you all about my family, fitness, pregnancies…and I don’t want to keep this from you, just because it isn’t as positive and shiny as the rest. I think it’s important to show the truth…because my job is to help people by being real and open.”
Hilaria, 35, said that she is not ashamed about this development, and that she wants to destigmatize miscarriages. About 10 to 20 percent of known pregnancies end in miscarriage, according to the Mayo Clinic.
